Couch Reveal

Before

After

Well, we certainly are happy to have the sweat stains and cat pee smell gone! We are so pleased with the way this couch turned out. Our upholsterer has impressed, once again. Our friends at Cottage Industry helped us with the throw cushions that bring a different dimension and a splash of colour to the otherwise neutral sofa. The neutrality will help the couch be sustainable over time in terms of being able to match with just about any room. The reddish taupe colour of the fabric (total cost, $55!) is a delicious colour that screams “COME SIT ON ME!”. Oh… well… maybe not quite. At any rate, it will look great with our Bergere chairs, the soon to be grey walls and the lovely black/grey/taupe wool rug. It is all coming together. Almost there, folks, we are almost there!

Blowing

Jesus tap dancing Christ, what a hateful and dirty job. Blowing insulation into the attic. Not fun, not nice, but amazing results. Worth it in the end, we think. What a Friday night. My how things have changed. Tomorrow, more painting.
